Iron
Physiologics Iron Plex
The majority of menstruating women, and mothers with newborns, are low in iron and can benefit from specific supplementation. But on the other hand, high levels of iron are unhealthy. Therefore, we suggest that you get a blood test to see if your iron is actually low before you start to take specific iron supplements.
Take iron supplements at a time of day when you are not consuming calcium, including dairy products.
Magnesium
In some forms, magnesium can soften the stool. If you are constipated, you can use magnesium to your advantage by taking Magnesium Citrate. If not, Magnesium Glycinate is probably a better choice. Either one is best taken before bed.
